The RN Patient Care Coordinator assists in directing the operation, financial and personnel activities of patient care.
First line nursing resource and support for any patient issue—Organizes, supervises, evaluates nursing activities by anticipating and maintaining staffing pattern for the units, meeting the patient need for continuity of care and level of care by facilitating and implementing the use of multidisciplinary team approach.
Establishes priorities and policies to make ethically sound decisions in order to ensure safe patient care and comply with professional, regulatory, and government standards of care.
Acts as a role model, mentor and coach to the units’ complement of nursing and support staff as she/he seeks to recruit and retain an appropriate skill mix of qualified, competent nursing personnel.
Supports the interdisciplinary team model by collaborating with other professional disciplines to develop and implement clinical programs.
Provide support and assistance for the Senior Leadership Team.
