The Ultrasound Technologist must be capable of applying techniques and patient positioning to produce high quality ultrasound images. Must be able to exercise initiative and independent judgment. Must exhibit professionalism with patients, co-workers and physicians. Must participate in continuing education and provide call coverage after hours and on Holidays. This individual is trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups: 0 to 105 years old.
a.) High School graduate or equivalent.
b.) Formal training in Ultrasound Technology by an accredited training program with emphasis in Diagnostic Ultrasound techniques, in the areas of Abdominal, OB/GYN, Breast, and Non-Invasive Vascular.
a.) Certification in Ultrasound Technology by the ARDMS or ARRT is required.
a.) Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff technologist, and possesses capabilities as determined to be adequate by the department head.
