The Nurse Practitioner shall have a collaborative agreement with the Physician which grant the APN authority to provide care to patients following protocols that have been jointly agreed upon. The APN provides patient assessment, develops a diagnostic impression, and plans the patient treatment following established protocols.
Assumes responsibility for quality of medical services rendered to patients.
Consults with Collaborative Physician as needed.
Follows all protocols as established with collaborative Physician.
Maintains current licensure and required continuing education
a.) Graduate of accredited school of nursing with BS and MS in nursing, including educational preparation as a Nurse Practitioner.
a.) Current licensure by Missouri State Board of Nursing
b.) ACLS preferred
c.) BLS preferred
a.) Past experience as Registered Nurse.
b.) Preferably has at least two years as an APN.
