Handling, portioning, and serving of foods/beverages for patients, café, and patient nourishments.
Sets up work area and/or patient/café tray lines by observing start times and obtains food items needed during meal service.
Follows food safety and sanitation guidelines by using good hand and personal hygiene practices along with keeping work areas properly cleaned and sanitized.
Proper washing, drying, and sanitizing of all dishes, flatware, pots, and pans.
Answers telephone promptly, passes meal trays using good customer service skills, logging down information, and fulfilling requests as needed.
Storing and labeling of any opened or leftover foods according to proper guidelines.
Recording of food, refrigeration and/or dish machine/rinse temperatures.
Operates food equipment and/or cash register and maintains equipment following cleaning and sanitizing guidelines.
Observes infection control practices at all times.
