The Dietetics Support position may work in all areas of the department; cafeteria, ware washing, diet representatives office, patient nourishment area, patient & cafeteria preparation for salads & desserts, and stocking food items for vending. This person will perform such duties as; distribution of patient meal trays, assisting with patient menu marking, prepares and handles foods, beverages, snacks & nourishments based on daily needs for vending, patients, cafeteria and special hospital functions, perform variety of manual and automatic ware washing activities along with cleaning and practicing safe sanitary and infection policies according to department and hospital guidelines, serves out food on the patient and cafeteria tray-line, will assist with new employee on-the-job training; and will work as a team player.
Pre-preparation and preparation of food items needed for patient tray line and patient nourishments by using proper weights and measuring techniques.
Handling, portioning, and serving of foods/beverages for patients, café, and patient nourishments.
Sets up work area and/or patient/café tray lines by observing start times and obtains food items needed during meal service.
a.) Able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
b.) Able to perform simple math computations.
