The Patient Registration Supervisor manages the daily operation of the department, is responsible for maintaining staff schedules, assists the Director in department management processes, maintains interpersonal relations and works to meet the job-related needs of the employees, facilitates problem solving and resolution, and provides education and guidance for staff.
The Patient Registration Supervisor reports directly to the Director of Financial Services.
1. Prepares work schedules as needs arise to ensure the timely admission of patients.
2. Quality control and accuracy of data entered by registration staff and provides feedback to the director of staff performance.
3. Supervises daily operations of Patient Registration and Centralized Scheduling
4. Completes payroll and staff schedules, monitors performance, provides staff meetings/training, and resolves problems.
5. Maintains bi-monthly staff attendance record.
6. Participates in the hiring process, disciplinary action and termination, and conducts performance appraisals.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
1. Education:
a.) High School Graduate.
b.) Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience in a healthcare institution.
2. Licensure/Certification:
a.) None required.
3. Work Experience:
a.) Medical office experience preferably with patient registration knowledge.
b.) 2 years’ supervisor experience in the healthcare industry.
c.) Ability to communicate effectively using good judgment.
d.) Work independently and make reasonable decisions using good judgment.
