The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for working return mail daily, billing, entering various data in the system, and in the absence of the Manage Care Specialist, completes their duties.
The Patient Access Specialist reports directly to the Director of Patient Services
1. Education
a.) High School graduate with related subjects in general business.
b.) Computer knowledge
c.) Medical terminology.
d.) Good customer service skills.
2. Licensure/Certification
a.) N/A
3. Work Experience
a.) General office experience preferably with insurance claims knowledge.
b.) Ability to operate various office machines.
c.) Be able to work independently and make reasonable decisions while maintaining confidentiality.
