Overview

The Clinic Registration Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of clinic registration activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the patient registration process. This role will provide leadership, training, and mentoring to registration staff, focusing on improving registration accuracy, enhancing revenue cycle processes, and maintaining high-quality patient service. The Clinic Registration Lead will collaborate closely with the Clinic Registration Manager to ensure that registration practices support both operational goals and the overall patient experience at Bothwell Regional Health Center.

 

 

The Clinic Registration lead reports directly to the Clinic Registration Manager under the direction of: Director of Clinic Financials.

Responsibilities

1. Leadership & Mentoring:
a.) Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to registration staff.

b.) Serve as a role model and mentor for registration employees, promoting
teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
c.) Assist with staffing decisions, scheduling, and performance evaluations in
collaboration with the Clinic Registration Manager.

 

2. Training & Development:
a.) Develop and conduct comprehensive training programs for registration staff,
ensuring all employees are proficient in patient registration processes,
systems, and policies.
b.) Monitor ongoing training needs and implement initiatives to address skill
gaps, improve performance, and increase registration accuracy.
c.) Provide coaching and feedback to staff, ensuring high standards in patient
registration and customer service is met.

 

3. Revenue Cycle Support:
a.) Ensure registration staff are accurately collecting and entering patient
information to support billing and revenue cycle processes.
b.) Work with the Clinic Registration Manager to implement best practices for
insurance verification, collection of copays, and other revenue cycle-related
activities.
c.) Actively monitor registration accuracy and its impact on the revenue cycle,
identifying and addressing potential issues.

 

4. Operational Excellence:
a.) Lead efforts to ensure efficient and effective patient registration workflows,
minimizing wait times and improving the patient experience.
b.) Collaborate with the Clinic Registration Manager to develop and implement
registration policies and procedures that align with organizational goals.
c.) Assist in troubleshooting registration-related issues, providing solutions and
support to both staff and patients as needed.

 

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance:
a.) Ensure that registration practices are compliant with federal, state, and
organizational regulations.
b.) Regularly review registration data for accuracy, identifying trends, and
implementing improvements to enhance quality.

 

Qualifications

1. Education:
a.) High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s
degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
preferred.

 

2. Licensure/Certification:
a.) None required.

 

3. Work Experience:
a.) Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a healthcare registration or
revenue cycle role, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory
capacity preferred.
