The Radiologic Technologist-Not Registered performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. The technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic radiographs. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. The individual is trained in a certified Radiology Technology program and capable of performing patient care for the age groups: 0-105 years old. The Radiologic Technologist Registered reports directly to Radiology Chief Technologist

The Clinic LPN/MA is responsible for patient care within the Clinic, trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups newborn to 105 years old.   The Clinic LPN reports directly to the Clinics Operations Director.

The Centralized Scheduling/Auth Referral Specialist – Medical Assistant is responsible for the following: answering calls coming into the call center, scheduling all Clinic offices for daily appointments, scheduling hospital tests excluding surgeries, & ensuring authorizations are obtained and documented.   The Centralized Scheduling/Auth Referral Specialist – Medical Assistant reports directly to the Patient Financial Services Director.

Care includes but is not limited to: Cardiac Monitoring, Hemodynamic Monitoring, Ventilator dependent patient (Acute and long term), Temporary and permanent pacemakers, balloon pump.   The RN / GN reports directly to Charge Nurse/Supervisor/Director.

The Medical Laboratory Technician will work in all areas of the laboratory.  Those being chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, hematology, urinalysis, blood gases, coagulation, and serology.  Tests will be performed on blood, body fluids, and tissues as ordered by the patient’s physician.  **Must be able to meet job requirements for phlebotomist as required.   The Medical Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Laboratory Supervisor or Laboratory Director.   Med Tech    The Medical Technologist –Registered will work in all areas of the laboratory.  Those being chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, hematology, urinalysis, blood gases, coagulation, and serology.  Tests will be performed on blood, body fluids, and tissues as ordered by the patient’s physician.   The Medical Technologist – Registered reports directly to the Section Lead, Chief Tech or Laboratory Director.  This staff position once deemed trained and competent will be responsible for performing waived, moderate and high complexity test resulting unsupervised. 

The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for working return mail daily, billing, entering various data in the system, and in the absence of the Manage Care Specialist, completes their duties.   The Patient Access Specialist reports directly to the Director of Patient Services

The Pharmacy Technician analyzes, confirms, and fills medication and IV orders entered and reviewed by a Pharmacist.  Answers drug queries and triages problems from nursing, medical staff, and the public. Responsible for all phases of medication procurement, storage, filling and dispensing, as well as providing support in developing and maintaining all aspects of a well-organized efficient hospital pharmacy environment.   The Pharmacy Technician reports directly to Pharmacists and/or the Director of Pharmacy.

The Nursing Assistant must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care. He/She must have the ability to assist with the collection of data for objective assessment, and to identify the needs and requirements of the patient and report to the charge nurse/team leader.  They will act within the scope of practice for Nursing.   The Nursing Assistant reports directly to nurse/charge nurse/team leader.

The Respiratory Therapist-RRT/CRT is an allied health care practitioner who functions under the supervision of a physician and in accordance with Hospital approved procedures and or protocols. This individual is responsible for the administration of pharmacologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care to implement or modify diagnostic regimes, treatment, disease prevention, or pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system. The Respiratory Therapist-RRT/CRT reports directly to the Respiratory Care Shift Supervisor

Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs Computerized Tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. This individual is trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups: 0 to 105 years old.   The CT Technologist reports directly to the Director of Radiology.   

The Emergency Care Technician must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care.  He/She must have the ability to identify the needs and requirements of the patient and report findings appropriately to the nurse.   The Emergency Care Technician role is guided by the tasks described on the Competency Checklist and does not include the primary nursing functions of assessment, evaluation, judgment, and delegation.   The Emergency Care Technician reports directly to the Charge Nurse.

The Electrician is a licensed electrician able to troubleshoot any electrical problems in the hospital.    The Electrician is an advanced technician with extensive commercial construction experience, and a solid knowledge of electrical code.   The Electrician reports directly to the Assistant Director of Facility Services

The Obstetrical Technician is a nursing or assistant nursing position on the Women’s Health and Newborn Care Unit. The Obstetrical Technician provides supportive nursing care as a member of the health care team. The department includes functioning in a role between all three units including labor and delivery, NICU, and women’s health & newborn care. The role includes acting as a scrub technician during Cesarean Sections and maintaining of the Cesarean Section Delivery room. Employee responsible for a 30-minute response time to facility upon being called in. This position does have additional cesarean scrub call outside of scheduled hours, which typically consists of one 48 hour weekend of cesarean scrub call every 4 week period.(1900 on Friday to 1900 on Sunday)     The Obstetrical Technician functions under the direction of the professional registered nurse. The professional registered nurse is ultimately responsible for the coordination and delivery of nursing care to women and newborns.

The Environmental Service Worker - Clinic is require to maintain the facility environment at Bothwell Regional Health Center Clinic in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition; to provide a suitable environment for the care of patients and the work of staff and other health care providers. The Environmental Service Worker - Clinic reports directly to Director Environmental Service.
