The Obstetrical Technician is a nursing or assistant nursing position on the Women’s Health and Newborn Care Unit. The Obstetrical Technician provides supportive nursing care as a member of the health care team. The department includes functioning in a role between all three units including labor and delivery, NICU, and women’s health & newborn care. The role includes acting as a scrub technician during Cesarean Sections and maintaining of the Cesarean Section Delivery room. Employee responsible for a 30-minute response time to facility upon being called in. This position does have additional cesarean scrub call outside of scheduled hours, which typically consists of one 48 hour weekend of cesarean scrub call every 4 week period.(1900 on Friday to 1900 on Sunday)     The Obstetrical Technician functions under the direction of the professional registered nurse. The professional registered nurse is ultimately responsible for the coordination and delivery of nursing care to women and newborns.

The Respiratory Therapist-RRT/CRT is an allied health care practitioner who functions under the supervision of a physician and in accordance with Hospital approved procedures and or protocols. This individual is responsible for the administration of pharmacologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care to implement or modify diagnostic regimes, treatment, disease prevention, or pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the cardiopulmonary system.   The Respiratory Therapist-RRT/CRT reports directly to the Respiratory Care Shift Supervisor.

The Emergency Care Technician must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care.  He/She must have the ability to identify the needs and requirements of the patient and report findings appropriately to the nurse.   The Emergency Care Technician role is guided by the tasks described on the Competency Checklist and does not include the primary nursing functions of assessment, evaluation, judgment, and delegation.   The Emergency Care Technician reports directly to the Charge Nurse.

The Unit Manager - Emergency Department is accountable for excellence in the clinical practice and the delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department.  Supervises resources as needed to manage clinical nursing practice and patient care.  Directs and oversees functions and activities in the Emergency Department.  Recommends, develops, and implements policies, procedures, standards and regulations for staff, patients, medical staff and the public.   The Unit Manager - Emergency Department reports directly to the Director of Nursing Services. 

The Environmental Service Worker is to maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly facility environment; keep a daily QI log.   The Environmental Service Worker reports directly to Director Environmental Service

The Clinic LPN/MA is responsible for patient care within the Clinic, trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups newborn to 105 years old. The Clinic LPN reports directly to the Clinics Operations Director.

This position is responsible for ensuring that all surgical supplies, instruments and equipment are properly inventoried, decontaminated, assembled, inspected, packaged, sterilized, stored, distributed and tracked in a quality/timely manner throughout the hospital.   The Certified Sterile Processing Tech reports directly to the Sterile Processing Manager

The Radiation Oncology Chief Therapist is responsible for supervising radiation and simulation departmental activities and the technologist under the direction of the Oncology Service Line Director. Supports the Director of the Oncology Services Line with departmental growth, physician marketing, financial objectives, and accreditation activities.  In addition he/she will be capable of applying radiation oncology techniques. Must be willing to participate in continuing education to constantly update skills, as well as Leadership Development Institute attendance. This individual is trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups: 13 to 105 years old.   The Radiation Oncology Chief Therapist reports directly to the Director of Oncology Service Line.

The Clinic Phlebotomist will greet the public, perform designated clerical duties, obtain patient specimens in accordance with standards and procedures as set forth by local, state, and federal agencies and this institution for the purpose of performing diagnostic tests in order to aid the physician in making decisions regarding diagnosis and appropriate treatment.    The Clinic Phlebotomist reports directly to the Clinics Operations Director..

Under the direction of a radiologist, the CT Technologist performs Computerized          Tomography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of    technical detail.  The CT Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.  This individual is trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups:  0 to 105 years old.     The CT Technologist reports directly to CT/MRI Chief Technologist

Surgical Technologists are allied health professionals with specialized education who function as members of the surgical team in the role of scrub person.  LPN Scrub Techs are LPN that receives on-the-job training.  In collaboration with the surgical team members providing surgical care to patients, they ensure that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.  They will work within their scope of practices.   The Surgical Technologist reports directly to the RN circulator, charge nurse and/or team leader.
