The Polysomnographic Technician performs diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnographic studies, which includes C-PAP/BiPAP therapy, under the supervision of a R.PSG.T. and the Sleep Disorder Center Medical Director.  The polysomnographic technician performs intensive monitoring of physiological and neurological parameters in patients of varying ages and medical conditions who are referred for sleep dysfunctions.  Testing is performed in accordance with standards of practice as defined by Bothwell Regional Health Center and the Association of Sleep Disorders Centers.  Utilizes a variety of sophisticated instrumentation and handles decision making in the treatment and handing of individual patients.   Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of the processes and services on an on-going basis.             The Polysomnographic Technician is directly responsible to the Director of Neurodiagnostics and Cardiopulmonary.
