The Polysomnographic Technician performs diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnographic studies, which includes C-PAP/BiPAP therapy, under the supervision of a R.PSG.T. and the Sleep Disorder Center Medical Director.  The polysomnographic technician performs intensive monitoring of physiological and neurological parameters in patients of varying ages and medical conditions who are referred for sleep dysfunctions.  Testing is performed in accordance with standards of practice as defined by Bothwell Regional Health Center and the Association of Sleep Disorders Centers.  Utilizes a variety of sophisticated instrumentation and handles decision making in the treatment and handing of individual patients.   Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of the processes and services on an on-going basis.             The Polysomnographic Technician is directly responsible to the Director of Neurodiagnostics and Cardiopulmonary.

The Clinic LPN is responsible for patient care within the Clinic, trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups newborn to 18 years old.   The Clinic LPN reports directly to the Clinics Operations Director.

The Nursing Assistant must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care.   He/She must have the ability to assist with the collection of data for objective assessment, and to identify the needs and requirements of the patient and report to the charge nurse/team leader.  They will act within the scope of practice for Nursing.   The Nursing Assistant reports directly to charge nurse/team leader.

The Physical Therapist is responsible for the evaluation of patients; development, coordination and implementation of the treatment plan; discharge planning, maintenance of informative, accurate and timely documentation. The Physical Therapist is responsible for supervision of the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA). Based on assigned unit/area, the physical therapist could be involved in team meetings, family meetings, home evaluations, staff training and basic office duties/reports.  Treatment outside the hospital setting could include home.   Physical Therapists are required to keep current national registry and Missouri licensure, in addition to participating in continuing education and training of others.   The Physical Therapist reports directly to the Director of Rehab.  

The staff speech-language pathologist is responsible for the evaluation of patients Pediatric birth to 18 and Adult; development, coordination and implementation of the treatment plan; discharge planning, maintenance of informative, accurate and timely documentation and participation in team meetings.  In addition to patient care the SLP staff member is responsible for basic office duties including but not limited to: answering the department telephone, taking messages, faxing forms, scheduling each patient’s appointments in required time frame, ensure appropriate depart has verify insurance benefits, update EMR  and maintain the patient chart information.     All staff speech-language pathologists are required to keep current national registry and Missouri licensure, in addition to participating in continuing education and training of others.   The staff speech-language pathologist reports directly to the Director of Rehab.

The Constant Observer works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to assist with patient monitoring as directed by the RN.  The Constant Observer’s primary responsibility is to protect the patient from self-harm and assure safety needs by staying at the bedside.  The Constant Observer functions include comfort and safety measures, patient monitoring, & communicating patient status to nursing staff.  The Constant Observer is expected to maintain a clean, calm, therapeutic environment in order to promote patient safety.  The Constant Observer is expected to care for all patient populations from infancy to geriatric.

The Centralized Scheduling Specialist is responsible for the following: answering calls coming into the call center, scheduling appointments for Clinics and hospital appointments.   The Centralized Scheduling Specialist reports directly to the Registration Supervisor and Patient Financial Services Director.      

The Radiation Oncology Technologist delivers ionizing radiation to the patient in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist. This individual is trained and capable of performing patient care for the age groups:   0 to 105 years old.   The Radiation Oncology Technologist reports directly to Radiation Oncology Chief Technologist and the Director of Oncology Services.

The Cardiology Echocardiographic Technologist is an allied health care technician who performs cardiac ultrasounds in their assigned section. This individual is responsible for the performance of diagnostic testing procedures on patients with deficiencies and abnormalities associated with the heart.   The Cardiology Echocardiographic Technologist reports directly to the department director.

Healthcare Technician must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care. He/She must have the ability to assist with the collection of data for objective assessment, and to identify the needs and requirements of the patient and report to the charge nurse/team leader.  He/She will also coordinate with the health care team to take patients from their rooms to various locations for X-rays, scans, surgery and other medical tests. Healthcare Technicians will assist with other duties as assigned   The Healthcare Technician reports directly to Patient Care Coordinator.

The Radiologic Technologist-Not Registered performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.  The technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply ionizing radiation to produce diagnostic radiographs. Assumes responsibility for designated areas of procedures as required. The individual is trained in a certified Radiology Technology program and capable of performing patient care for the age groups:  0-105 years old.   The Radiologic Technologist-Not Registered reports directly to Radiology Chief Technologist.

The Cardiac Cath Technologists provides technical support and patient care before, during and after invasive diagnostic/interventional procedures.  This position includes the role of:  scrub, circulator and hemodynamic monitor.  May care for patients ranging from 12 years to 105 years   The Cardiac Cath Technologist reports directly to the Cardiac Cath Supervisor.

The staff occupational therapist is responsible for the evaluation of patients; development, coordination and implementation of the treatment plan; discharge planning, maintenance of informative, accurate and timely documentation. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for supervision of the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).   Based on assigned unit/area, the occupational therapist could be involved in team meetings, family meetings, home evaluations, staff training and basic office duties/reports.  Treatment outside the hospital setting could include home.   All staff occupational therapists are required to keep current national registry and Missouri licensure, in addition to participating in continuing education and training of others.   The staff occupational therapist reports directly to the Director of Rehab.
